Begin with the living world: simulated people, first-person adventure, tabletop freedom, and the wider history of the Unbound Realms.
What is Kingdoms and Dust?#
Kingdoms and Dust is an immense first-person fantasy RPG and immersive sim in development. Every NPC is individually simulated, and people, factions, economies, armies, and dynasties form an autonomous world. Live AI brings characters and the Dungeon Master into natural conversation, grounded in that same world. The setting is called the Unbound Realms.
Start with the people#
Read People, memory, and simulated lives to understand individual identity and relationships. A living world explains how those lives connect to trade, politics, armies, and history. The tabletop Dungeon Master introduces speaking and acting in your own words. From wanderer to ruler describes the ambition to connect personal adventure with service, command, and power.
Explore the setting#
Choose a region and follow its connections. The Aurelian Reach introduces the shattered western order; the Iron Heartland and Umbra Magni offer different ideas of authority. The northern coasts, southern powers, and divided Khavari cultures broaden that picture. Faith, institutions, and politics overlap throughout the setting, while its landscapes preserve the consequences of old magic.
Read the labels#
World lore entries describe the setting as its scholars and travellers understand it, including their disagreements. Player guides describe the game and its development direction. In development identifies work still being integrated, expanded, or validated. Design direction identifies an accepted goal whose full player journey remains in progress. Reference statistics are changeable development data.
Use the encyclopedia#
Search by a place, god, faction, creature, or subject. Category filters narrow the results. Each article has a contents list and a stable address.
