Major Cities, Courts, and Seats of Power
Public lore preserves the setting's disagreements and uncertain histories.
Auraleth#
Senate harbor of the Azure Isles, famed for white quays, sealed archives, and the formal rivalries of High Elven houses. It is graceful on the surface and relentless in recordkeeping.
Tel Ivara#
College city of the Isles, where observatories, ward libraries, and legal schools shape island policy indirectly through prestige and expertise.
Korrmark#
Grand Muster capital of the Iron Heartland. Half fortress, half administrative machine, it teaches that roads and ledgers are weapons.
Stonewake#
Hybrid ducal capital of Reach and Heartland custom. Its halls display both conquest trophies and inherited western charters.
Val Teren#
Administrative heart of Umbra Magni, built for processional power, archive security, and the visible staging of continuity.
Aurux Spire#
Arcane-engineering metropolis beneath the highest golden towers of Umbra Magni, where geometry is treated as political doctrine.
Bluehaven#
The Isles' hard maritime port, more practical than beautiful, though not less proud. Admiralty, customs, and naval intelligence dominate civic life.
Samirath#
Akeshi port capital of mirrors, courtyards, vaults, and sea-facing trade houses. Its shade law is studied abroad and obeyed by all sane visitors.
Veyr al-Nur#
Solar collegial city of Akesh, famous for light storage, scholarship, and technical guilds that rival noble houses in influence.
Ispareth#
Pasharan satrapal jewel, where caravan wealth, legal formalism, and ritual hospitality combine into a political art.
Hal Mazar#
Pasharan contract metropolis whose courts and witness halls are feared by anyone who mistakes elegance for softness.
Karsene#
Western rectification fortress of Umbra Magni, built to project order into border instability and to remind the Reach that the east has not forgotten it.
Ossam Bridge#
Necromantic canal capital of the Reach, repellent and indispensable at once. Barges move on time; the dead do much of the work.
Saint Auric#
Republican shrine-city of the Reach where relic law, merchant capital, and disciplined militias still preserve a public good many larger states have lost.
Magnus Prime, Lost#
No longer a living capital, yet still the political sun around which western memory turns. Its surviving fragments in the Shattered Isles shape policy even in absence.
