The Unbound Realms
Public lore preserves the setting's disagreements and uncertain histories.

For travellers, students, pilots, shrine readers, and court schools#
"Once there was one law, one sea, and one tax. Now there are roads, ruins, arguments, and heirs."
Preface#
This compendium gathers the common learning of the Unbound Realms as it might be found in a great port library, temple archive, court school, caravan house, or veteran hall. It is meant for readers who live in a world shaped by older empires, living gods, broken roads, inherited grievances, and ruins that still answer to forgotten laws.
The accounts below favor what is widely taught, publicly argued, or safely repeated. Where the record is uncertain, rival traditions are named as traditions. Where priests, magistrates, and scholars disagree, the disagreement is preserved rather than smoothed away.
Certain matters remain veiled by temple caution, state secrecy, and ordinary fear. The First Silence, the impossible objects, and the true cause of the Voided Zone are discussed here only as educated rumor and public controversy. No honest encyclopedia can pretend that the deepest past has been settled.
Dates follow the common Veiled Reckoning. B.V. means Before the Veiling; A.V. means After the Veiling. The present compilation stands in the 117th year after the Voiding, when the world remains divided among heirs of Magnus, conquerors of Magnus, survivors of Magnus, and peoples who never accepted that Magnus owned history at all.

The source calendar uses both Veiling and Voiding terminology. Dates are preserved as printed; this edition does not infer a repaired chronology.
