Exploration and travel
This article's status describes its scope. See development status for current limits.
Travel connects roads, settlements, wilderness, and the cultures whose territory you cross.
A coherent continent#
The macro world follows an authored continent shape with regional geography, climate, rivers, settlements, and roads. Its logical layer spans 512 by 512 one-kilometre cells. This is a world-generation data scale, not a claim that a fully detailed seamless landscape of that size is finished.
Roads have destinations#
The generation direction connects major settlements, villages, hubs, and long-road waystations. Habitability and the environment influence settlement placement. Where you travel should relate to the economic and political geography of the map.
Know the danger#
Fixed-level balance makes exploration consequential. An unfamiliar site can be stronger than your character. The world's level direction rewards preparation and judgement rather than assuming that every encounter has adjusted to your current level.
World map and ground#
The map's scale and the local world are different views of the same setting. Read the regional articles for context and the landscape entries for environmental identity. Exact travel timings, final streaming behavior, and complete encounter distribution remain development work.
