She offered me a drink from a silver cup and twenty years vanished between the first sip and the second.
Fey are creatures of the First World, a parallel realm of heightened emotion and mutable reality. They range from benign nature spirits to capricious tricksters to genuinely dangerous predators. All fey share an alien sense of morality that prioritizes aesthetics, bargains, and narrative satisfaction over conventional ethics.

Redcaps are fey of pure malice, small humanoids in iron boots who must soak their caps in fresh blood to survive. Unlike most fey, they have no interest in bargains or games; they simply kill. They are disproportionately strong for their size and terrifyingly fast, capable of running down mounted riders.
Dream predators are a particularly insidious form of fey that hunt through the sleeping minds of mortals. They are most common in areas where the boundary between the First World and the material plane has thinned, such as old-growth forests and sites of ancient fey courts. Victims experience vivid dreams that gradually drain their vitality.
