Wildlife
Reference tables contain changeable development values.
A hunter who cannot name the deer he tracks has no business drawing a bow.
The common wildlife of the Unbound Realms poses little direct threat to seasoned adventurers, yet these creatures form the living fabric of every biome. Deer herds signal healthy forests, raptor flights warn of carrion nearby, and the sudden silence of a songbird flock often precedes something far worse emerging from the undergrowth.

Wild boar are the most dangerous common mammal encountered by low-level travellers. Experienced woodsmen give boar runs wide berth during mating season.

Ravens hold a special place in Nord-Vast folklore. Saga-keepers claim they carry messages between the living and the dead, and killing one within sight of a clan hall is considered deeply unlucky. In game terms ravens are harmless, but their sudden massed flight often signals undead activity below.

Fish schools are a common sight in the rivers and coastal shallows of the Reach. They have no combat relevance but serve as indicators of water quality and river health. Fishermen in riverside settlements depend on seasonal runs for their livelihood.
